on thursday night (i think), they let him out at about 8pm and he didnt come in at about 10pm like he normally does so they shook his crunchies..nothing! So Rob went out with a torch searching the streets, i told them to check the main road (not a nice thought) but thankfully he wasnt their phew! Then eventually at 1.30am they decided there was no more they could do so went to bed, then at 2.30am Francine heard meowing at the back door so she and Rob rushed downstairs and it was Meeko! He got loads of cuddles that night, they were so scared he had been hit by a car, anyhoo weird thing is he came back with lots of oil in his coat and he is now very clingy and wont go outside for longer than 10 mins before coming back in for a cuddle and then going out again, im thinking something has spooked him big time!

So glad he is ok though :wub:

Not meaning to hijack your thread but the same night you told me that & realised Alfie wasn't in . It was about 11pm , i opened the door -no sign. I rattled a packet of cashew nuts (he thinks it's food normally) still nothing. Was on the verge of :omg: where is he? When he imerges from the bedroom all sleepy like ' Yawn, eh what's all the noise, i was snoozing' lol lol

I had a cat a few years ago called Minnie. She was one of Smudges babies that we kept. She was my baby. She always used to be on my bed waiting for me at bedtime. One night she wasn't there but I just thought she must have forgotten about me or something.

My next door neighbour found her the next morning in her pond. :( I cried soo much for days after. :(

Not at all, dont appologise! Thats really sad :hug: I think he must have hid under a car or something, poor little man :( I could never have a cat, i would have a nervous breakdown whenever they went missing. I reassured my sister they had done everything they could, castrated him, microchipped him and he has a reflective collar on :thumb-up:

I couldnt have a cat as I would freak too much haha Glad Meeko is back from his adventure safe and sound!
