Hello

Nickiey here! :D I have a question for you what can rabbits get for breathing problems? My friend just got a angora rabbit that is 10 weeks old from PetSmart ( I know  at petsmart) She felt really bad for the rabbit so she got it and now it is breathing funny not her breathing really it's more like she has a whistle in her nose! :bounce: Sounds funny but that's the only way to put it into words. hehe Do have any idea what it is or what to do?

Thanks Nickiey :bunhug:

It could be Snuffles (Pasturella). I don't know too much about it but heres an article we have about it. Someone else will probably be able to help more.

I think the bun needs to pay a visit to a vet for diagnosis and to start treatment.

I agree with Justine, a visit to the vet is a good idea :)

I agree too, a trip to the vet is most probably in order.

I already for it when you said the name I search it on the Forum to see if anyone had wrote about it and found the topic that you wrote about it and read the hole thing that is what we think that she has. She is going to take her to vet on Monday if she can get in. I don't know how much our local vet will know about rabbits :loopy: They aren't to bright around here we mostly do our own vet checks! hehe I'll Let you know how it all turnes out. Could you just let me know how likeing it is that our rabbit could get it from my friends rabbit ( is it in the air because my chester lives with me in the house and Her rabbit Serenity is in the house but they aren't really near each other but before you told me about the sniffles they were playing together face to face :shock1: So now I'm like freacking out that he might get it????????????????????????????????????? :bunhug: He's my baby and I can't let him get sick :cry3: :cry2: :(

Thank You
Nickiey :bunhug:

It is possible for your bun to catch it. Try and keep them away from each other until you have a diagnosis of the other bun and keep an eye on yours.

Ohhh forgot to add, I'm not sure how close they have to be to each other for it to pass from one to the other. Someone else will be more clued up than me, I think.
