Title: The Fonz Attacked Me!!
PinkBunny - October 19, 2008 07:03 PM (GMT)
My lovely 13 week old Black Nethie, The Fonz, attacked me today when I was cleaning out his hutch. :cry2: He went beserk every time I put my hand in the hutch. He bit me, scratched me, stamped his feet and went round chinning everything in his hutch. :shock1: I was really upset with him, he's been so placid til today. He was one angry bun
So I'm guessing that his behaviour is cos he's reached sexual maturity.
Looks like I'll be booking him in to have his plums removed very soon.
I'm just hoping his behaviour is better afterwards.
I couldn't even get near him to get him out to go in the run today. It would be awful if he stayed that bad and we never got to cuddle him again or put him in the run. He's been handled every day since he was 2 days old.
What a funny bun :(

I phoned up to book Fonzy in for his deplumming today. Coventry Pet Vacc Clinic told me he can't be done til he's 16 weeks old. Stechford told me he can't be done til he's 6 months old!!!
Has anyone come across this before? How old was your buck when he was castrated?

Most vets like to wait until 6 months for girls but boys can be done a lot earlier. I'm not sure on the normal time for them though. I've never had boys.

The little ones I currently foster were done at 4 months. There are 2 buns who haven't shown me their plums yet, although I have been searching hehe
