Are vets able to cut hamsters nails? They wriggle so much it impossible for me to attempt doing it.

Only one of our hamsters have very long nails. The others are fine. :confused:

The vet will charge you a fortune. Are you able to do it yourself? Are the nails long or excessively long? Blimey, I sound like PC Plod with all these questions hehe

They are quite excessively long. I never realised how long until yesterday. :confused: I'm not sure we could keep the hammy still enough to do it. You know what I'm like with nails. :faint: hehe

Oooh I forgot to tell you, we took the hammy to the vet and the nurse cut her nails for us.

When I made he appointment, I was tols it would be £6 somthing. Can't remember exact amount. When I went to pay, I was charged £3.16. :shock: Great price I think.

The nurse was actually surprised how tame and friendly she was. She said they usually have to take them out the back and give them a little bit of gas to be able to cut the nails, so maybe thats why it was cheaper. :thumbup:
