Title: Can I bond my buns?
Bunnygirl - January 4, 2009 12:22 AM (GMT)
Hi bunny lovers!
I have two, 12 month old, female lionheads and am considering adopting a young neutered male. Can anyone advise me if it's likely that the 3 buns would bond effectively, or is it best avoided? Obviously I wouldn't want to stress or risk injury to the bunnies.

I have 3 buns, all acquired at different times, who now live happily together (a 1 yr old nethie boy, a 2 yr old nethie girl and a baby giant girl).
Vickie is the real expert on this. I'm sure she'll be along tomorrow with some advice :)

Vikki - you are making me blush again hehe
If the bunnies are neutered - I wouldn't have any problems in attempting to bond them into a trio. If they aren't neutered, I'd advise to get them done and give them approximately 3-4 weeks before introducing them to one another.

Thanks for the advice ladies!
Would love to expand my brood, am very tempted but am worried my little lady buns might think three's a crowd!?

we have a tri group, although 2 males and 1 girl.
The 2 males were already bonded (brothers) and we introduced Pippa with Roger and Dave and it was the easiest bond ever!. No chasing, nothing!.
Now Pippa seems to be the boss of the group, typical female eh
haha
Good luck with your bonding!
