Title: 8 Arrested for Post Office Murder
PinkBunny - January 13, 2009 08:58 PM (GMT)
Did anyone see on the news that 8 people have been arrested today on suspicion of the murder at the post office in Worcester? The arrests were made addresses across South Birmingham in 4am raids by armed police.
Well, you imagine my surprise when I drove up Elmay road on the way to taking the kids to school this morning when I saw a house cordoned off with police tape, 4 police cars, many police officers, a forensic police van, reporters, tv van and many onlookers outside no. 31!!!!!
I drove past slowly and had a good look and I noticed some toys in the upstairs window. When I got to school everyone was talking about it but nobody knew very much. Throughout the day it emerged that it was indeed one of the houses that were raided in connection with the murder and there was a picture of the house on the news. The man and lady in the house were arrested.
Apparently thier two children go to my children's school, in reception and Yr2.
It's a really frightening thought that these people who own guns and go round killing people live such a short distance from your home and even more chilling is that my children might know their children.
I'm pretty gobsmacked, so is the rest of Sheldon. By the time I collected my kids this afternoon the playground was buzzing with gossip and people were trying to work out which parents were missing or which children hadn't been to school that day.
Awful, just awful

I only saw a little bit of it on a news site I think it was. It is scarey when something like that happens so close to you.

Oh blimey! It's very worrying the society we live in.

A horrific crime. If the couple who live close to you were in part way responsible, the thought of them having guns in the house with small children doesn't bear thinking about.

The police were at the house again today removing various personal items including toys!! There were clear plastic bags all over the front garden. The police loaded them into the backs of their cars.
I've just read on Yahoo Breaking News that the 4 men have been charged. They have named them now too.
My God, I feel for those kids :cry2:
