Title: Is it time??
Description: Neutering

LauraBunny - March 11, 2009 09:42 AM (GMT)
So....Bunny is about 4 and a half months old now, and in the past week he has done a wee on me 3 times. (never used to) The plan is to get him neutered in about 3 weeks time (I want to make sure I have the whole weekend free to take care of him) so I was hoping this is maybe a sign that it needs to be done...any advice would be really helpful as the internet is a confusing place with lots of contradicting views

Neutering won't necessarily stop him weeing on you but once his plums have been removed, he'll be less inclined to hump anything which moves and spray wee everywhere. Also, if you are thinking of getting him a wifey, he won't pester her.

Hiya.

Neutering really helped shauny to stop weeing on the bed. It took a while the vet told us because we had left his neuter for so long and he had formed a habbit of doing it .

He had an ''accident'' a few weeks ago involving the bed- and we thought here we go again. But he has been fine!.

It also stops the constant sex pest thing- i was waking up to find him, erm trying to hump my head  :laugh1: .

This is a video of him on a good day before the op.

My foster bun Treacle was very frisky before his op, the draft excluder being his favourite target

Thank you, that's really helpful :) I haven't witnessed or been victim to any humping yet, I suppose it's only a matter of time!!! I'll book him in for a few weeks time when he's just turned 5 months old. Hope he'll still be cheeky after the op! :bunhug:

Lynx became more affectionate and even more cheeky after his op hehe hehe

Yay, I love Bunny's personality, he is just so funny sometimes. People who I talk to that have never had a rabbit never get it until they see him! They don't realise that they develop into proper characters! It will be interesting when I eventually get him a friend and see how different they are :)
