Title: Bunnys Op Tomorrow!
Description: Thursday

LauraBunny - April 1, 2009 10:40 AM (GMT)
Bunny is booked in to be neutered tomorrow, feeling a bit nervous but sure he'll be fine. Had a good chat with the vet when he had his vaccinations (the vet also has house rabbits which was reassuring). I was just wondering what the best after care I can give him is? I have tomorrow and friday off and am at home all weekend so keeping an eye on him isn;t a problem at all. Is keeping him inside the best thing to do? I have everything I need to do this, indoor cage etc...
Thanks for suggestions in advance :) xx

No harm in keeping Bunny indoors after his op although I would place newspaper in the indoor hutch and keep the hay in one place to avoid any bits getting stuck to his war wound. Don't worry too much if Bunny loses his appetite, it's quite normal. Some of the rescue buns chomp for England when I get them home, others may have a pick the following day.

Good luck Bunny :bunhug:

I always keep mine inside for a few days after, boys normally bounce back quicker than the girlies  Goodluck with op! :bunhug: :bunhug:

Woo! Bunny is back now, picked him up about half an hour ago. He did not look happy when I got him and the vet was sporting a huge scratch on his arm hehe he went straight to his food (no surprises there!) and had a bit of a run around. Now he is crashed out, exhausted from all the excitement! Very happy to have him back home now though after all the stories you hear about them not coming round after the op.
Lots of nose rubs I think. Wonder if he's thinking 'hmm....there's something missing....can't quite work out what....oh.'

Great news Bunny is back home safe and sound.

And if Bunny is missing something, here is something which may remind him of what he is now lacking .........
