Took Bluebell to the vet this morning, the vet has taken her in and will perform the operation to remove her eye today :(

I am to call the surgery after 2pm this afternoon.

Thanks Kim. I wasn't expecting Bluebell to go in today, thought another appointment would have been made so feeling rather lost as I didn't have time to psyche myself up.

Sometimes getting it done like that is the best way, i found that with pepsi, i was waiting for appointments to arrive and i just wanted his eye out! I know how horrible it is waiting to ring the vet though, today will probably feel like its going so slowly, thats the worst part! Thinking of you both and although my signal is rubbish at work i will pick up texts at some point...i can usually get a signal in kennels or ops room lol

Bluebum has recovered from the op, I can collect her at 5.30pm. Can't wait to get her home.

The house looks like a bomb site, I've shopping to do but haven't been able to get myself motivated.

Give bluebell a big kiss from me, she'll be soon back on the road to recovery :)

Bluebum is home, the operation went well but after she came round the wound began to fill with blood. There is a slight risk of infection but I don't want to think about that at the moment. The vet nurse fed her with some Science Recovery which she horsed down and picked some dandelions for her which she happily scoffed too :shock:

She's done a few poops and is currently munching on veg and pellets. I'm soooooooooooooooooo relieved she's home :heart:

Glad to hear shes back to normal soon quickly Vickie. Plenty of nose rubs coming her way. xxx

The Hairy Mob appear to be ignoring her and she's making no effort to socialise amongst the group. She was inside with Squirty last night, no snuggling from either party.

I'm thinking maybe I need to get a hutch/run and a loving buck for her.

I was having a sweep up and Bluebum allowed me to give her lots and lots of kisses on her nose :heart: :heart:

Bluebell had her post op check this morning. The wound is still very swollen although it's not hot, but she has a small amount of discharge from her nose which we are hoping is the tail end of the infection from her eye. The vet calls her "the beautiful bold one" hehe :kiss:
