Title: Poorly Rosie

bunny mummy - April 29, 2009 08:38 PM (GMT)
My beautiful girl Rosie has been very poorly, I had to take her to the vets yesterday morning and she had to have a baytril injection and a gut stimulant.. I had been giving her baytril at home as she has been really snotty as has baby jimjims, but poor old Rosie had to have recovery every two hours throughout the night, and I had to take her back to the vets this morning and she had to stay in, they gave her more recovery, and baby food, metacam injection, gut stimulant etc etc.. :cry1: :cry1: :cry1: I picked her up tonight at 6.00 pm armed with baby food for her .. but the plucky ole bun had turned the corner and is now back to her old self.

Am very happy, as it's so worrying when they are unwell. But at least she is ok now. :bounce: :bounce:

Thanks all. Yes she is back to usual self. It's Jimmy that I am concerned about now.

Vickie - May 3, 2009 09:34 PM (GMT)
Oh no. What seems to be the problem with Jimmy? Everything crossed this end for you.

She has got snuffles like your Pixie and she is far from being a well bunny at the moment.

Vickie - May 4, 2009 08:39 PM (GMT)
It's horrid isn't it? Sending vibes and a  your way Jill.

Ah thanks and the same back for Pixie. I hope she is a lot better. I have got to go to the vet tomorrow to pick up some different anti biotics for baby jim jims, she is a lot better, but the vet said that after 10 days on baytril at twice a day she should be a lot better then she is - so I have followed her advice and given it to her twice aday and given her large bowls of grass from the lawn ( been *issing it down here for 2 days) and I will go and get her the stronger one tomorrow. She hates me - i am not a nice bunny mummy in little jimmys eyes at the moment. :cry1:

Hope Pixie is doing good for her mummy! :bunhug:

I hope the new meds improve Jimmy's condition.

Feels like Pixie has turned a corner - less snot and bright eyes and she didn't sound like Darth Vader today, all being well she'll be on septarin on Monday.
