Title: Neutering and my Bonded Trio
PinkBunny - May 13, 2009 04:22 PM (GMT)
My bonded trio - Flopsy, Fudge (un neutered does) and Fonzie (neutered buck) have all lived together happily for a while now but the girls are beginning to gang up on poor Fonzie and occasionally they will chase him and pull his fur.
So I want to get the girls neutered next week but I'm unsure what to do. Do I take all three? All 3 will fit in the carrier but will the vets be able to keep them all together and will it matter if I leave Fonzie at home seeing as he's already done?
:aaarggh:

I very much doubt the PVC will allow Fonzie to stay with the girls, I had the same problem when Summer and Dinky were in a bonded pair. I took them both in the same carrier and collected Summer with Dinky. Luckily there were no fall outs.
Good luck.

When I had Rosie and Jimmy spayed I got them done on the same day, the vet advised getting them done on the same day, as this would be better for them to be together ( I only have the two bunnies)
I doubt that you will be able to take Fonzie along to stay as Vickie has said.
I hope all goes well.

That's a shame they wont let them stay at the vets together  I always advise owners to bring the buns together if they are bonded :D

You are a nice nursey Sarah, they are a miserable bunch at the PVC. Won't allow a bun to stay with his/her partner in case he/she injures the bunny who has been neutered

When I collect them both though I will be putting them straight back in thier hutch with Fonzie.
oh well we'll see what happens
