Title: Rosies Make Over
bunny mummy - June 25, 2009 09:54 PM (GMT)
I had a new shed delivered today, not assembled. Well, both Rosie and Jimmy had a birthday faffing around with the sides, running up and down and just messin around... at first I thought it was a cobweb on rosies fur and then touched it ... glue!! I tried to wash it off with hot water on a dishcloth ..no chance! I phoned the vet and they said to clip the fur... which I did, she is now sporting the summer 09 range of clipped, staggered fur on her left hand side! I assured her this will catch on , she looks rather fetching. ( and no harm done, she started licking it and I thought that she would have to go the vets today - but she is fine)
Maybe it will catch on, the feathered, layered look.

Between me and you, as Rosie is not here with me, I did attempt to take some pics of her ( what a bad 'mum' I am!!) but, with her markings her feathered look does not show up! If there was such a think as bunny social services - I think I would be reported!! for my attempt at posting inappropriate bunny pics!! x x

Well I hope you didnt give it her! It was a slight lapse in my role as mum. If you did give it her, I shall not give her any of her favourite veg tomorrow - I hope you told that to the little madam!

Reading this post again has just made me remember about our cat, Lala, RIP, when she was a tiny kitten. Lala was the runt of the litter. Her mum ignored her and her siblings pushed her out so the owners were going to put her to sleep. I took her in at just 3 weeks old and hand reared her. She was my first pet after leaving home and my baby. She was a funny cat, I always said she looked like she had Downs Syndrome as her eyes were large and her nose was very flat, a bit like a bush baby, and her back legs were longer than the front one's so she walked funny with her bum in the air hehe but we loved her.
Anyway, one day when she was a few months old but still very tiny, we were decorating our flat and to mix the right colour paint we wanted we put it into an ice cream tub. When we were half way through we hid it behind the settee with a piece of card over the top. Next we knew, Lala came out from behind the settee and she was covered in blue paint and leaving blue foot prints across the room (on the new carpet I might add!!) She must have quite literally fallen in as she was almost covered from head to toe. Luckily it was emulsion and we were able to wash most of it out and then we had to cut some fur from her side where the paint had began to dry.
She did look a state for a while. hehe hehe
Bless her, we lost her when she was 7 due to a blood clot in both hips. By the time we found her, both her legs were cold and the vet said they couldn't operate as the legs would already be dead so we had to make the really hard decision and she went to rainbow bridge peacefully. She was so lovely, we still miss her loads :bunhug:
