My handsome Giant Conti Norman passed to the bridge last Saturday.
Norman came to me as Reggie, with other buns, for transportation to the vets for neutering. Once neutered, he didn't leave.
He bonded well with my group of 10 and he enjoyed life free ranging in the garden, kicking up his heels and snuggling with the others. A few months ago I found him collapsed - he was heading for a neurological EC spin. A trip to the vets, meds and tests later confirmed he had EC. However Norman went from strength to strength, improving daily and regaining his cheeky ways. He stayed inside as a house bunny and was due to return to his friends outside once the weather improved.
Last Saturday my world fell apart. Norman collapsed and within a minute or two he passed away. Normie was my special man, sharing kisses and snuggles was a daily treat for me, I will miss him nipping my ankles when he wanted attention, finding him camped out at the cupboard door eagerly awaiting his dinner, nipping the dog's leg and stealing his dried dog food but most of all I will miss the unconditional love he gave.
Norman was cremated on Monday and is now back home where he belongs.
Sleep tight my friend.
