Title: Soiled Grass

fluffiebunnie - March 24, 2008 05:42 PM (GMT)
I have two cats that use my grassed areas as a toilet  Over winter I havent been out there much but noticed the other day there is tons of cat poop on the grass. I will obviously clear this up, but am worried about germs still being on the grass.

Is the lawn area safe for the bunnies if I clear the poop up, or what can I do to make it safe?

sorry Donna, I missed this yesterday from one thing and another.

I have the same problem with my cats. I just clean it up and hose it down now and then.

I can't help either I'm afraid. The dog does his business at the bottom of our garden so when the bunnies have a hop around, they are not able to get that far.

I had this problem last year. Cats wouldn't go anywhere but on the lawn  I just cleared it up, and as Justine says, give it good hose down!!!

Hi , thats something i do know from nursing cat poo is not harmfull to bunnies at all . All you need todo is clean it up and just rinse were the poo was with warm water and then your bunnies will be safe roam and play .I know that cat poo can be dangerous to us humans wen poo meets the eye or if eaten :puke: but to rabbit they are totaly amuen to this but give the grass a rinse just so they dont sit init because as we all know cat poo smells and if gorgous bunnie is picked up for a cuddle and smells of cat poo that would be very of putting ;) .hope i could help take care now
