I thought it was expensive too. I did buy pure pastures hay from my local animal feeds shop but with my bunnies it wasn't lasting very long. I think you can buy it at Countrywide too.

I haven't looked. I had been buying my hay from the local petshop, he does a big bag for £1.50 and it's not at all dusty and the buns love it. But my neighbour (remember I told you all he had those 2 new buns and I wasn't happy with his attitude??) gets his hay in bales, free, from a farmer where he buys his whole lambs from. He has been giving it to me free, black bag fulls at a time. Buns love that too and agin it's not dusty. So I'm on a winner at the mo.
And... an update to my neighbour and his buns, I sexed them yesterday and they have one of each, the dopey breeder said they were boths girls. I've told him he needs to seperate them asap. His attiude was, 'oh well, so we might have babies'.
I told him about the male killing the babies etc etc. I also explained about getting one neutered but as you can imagine I got nowhere.
I don't think he was keen on paying to get them neutered but he's about to buy an Apple iPhone (at a cost of £350) for his daughter who is on the dole!!!

Why not try the hay experts. I am not saying that pets at home hay is not good - ( it was very dusty!) but when I did buy it my buns got fleas! My vet said that it was prob due to the hay. It cost me a lot in the long run as I had to buy a flea house spray along with 'spot on' for the buns.
